The Downtown Waterfront is a joint partnership between the Port of Bellingham and Harcourt Developments, an international property development company with a proven track-record in large-scale urban regeneration projects. Harcourt has successfully developed other waterfront parcels in cities around the world.

Harcourt Developments is one of Ireland’s largest privately-owned property companies. Retained assets include business parks, shopping centres, visitor attractions and hotels in nine different countries. The Group provides full-time employment to over 1500 people.

An important part of our philosophy is to integrate cultural and artistic elements into all our projects, adding long term value to the civic space and enhancing local communities. Arts and culture can help to enrich the public realm and shape the identities of places.

Harcourt's proven commitment to the arts, architecture, social issues and the environment has been recognised by many awards. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful buildings and attractive amenities, revitalising urban spaces, and planning for the future.

Harcourt has a strong reputation for developing successful projects around the world and we are excited to see their level of commitment to Bellingham’s waterfront

Following the completion of the iconic Granary Building, Harcourt will start construction on waterfront condominiums with underground parking.

Additional projects include a “Gateway” commercial office building near the Granary, a retirement and assisted living complex, and the conversion of Georgia Pacific’s former Boardmill building into a hotel and conference center.
